Technical principle
E-LIGHT- uses IPL and RF dual-stage RF technology to act on the entire dermis and connective tissue, stimulate collagen at different depths, rearrange and grow, and achieve therapeutic results. The two-stage radio frequency simultaneously releases energy, and utilizes the selective absorption of light energy by the skin to cause photothermolysis effects on various diseased tissues of the epidermis and dermis.Because its requirement for light energy is much lower than that of traditional IPL, it can absorb more energy from various pigmented and vascular lesions in the epidermis and dermis without damaging the epidermis, and better eliminate these diseased tissues. , to achieve the effect of treatment.
SHR-Professional 640nm-1200nm hair removal wavelength can effectively reach the dermal papilla, continuous illuminating to ensure that the target tissue generates enough heat to inactivate the hair follicles and surrounding stem cells, hair follicle atrophy hair stops growing; the latest single pulse technology and sapphire contact the operation head synchronizes the operating and cooling, not only eliminates the long-term effect of the hair, but also protects the normal skin tissue from damage, making the customer feel more
Comfortable during the operation.
RF technology - first to ensure that the skin is comfortable and not damaged, and then use radio frequency waves to generate thermal energy conduction, accurate to the deep layers of the skin, stimulate the ions in the body, charged colloidal particles to produce rapid movement or vibration, friction to generate heat, when the skin deep collagen tissue When the heat reaches 45°C-60°C, it naturally produces immediate contraction, stimulates the secretion of more new collagen to fill the gaps of the atrophic and lost collagen, and rearranges and reconstructs the soft support of the skin, ultimately achieving firming skin, filling in wrinkles and restoring skin elasticity and shining.
J laser technology - using the gem-adjusting Q mode, using the instantaneous emission of high energy to effectively break the pigment in the diseased tissue. That is, the principle of photo-blasting: the accumulated high-energy instant emission causes the irradiated pigment particles to absorb energy and then expand and rupture, and a part of the cracks become more tiny particles excreted, and some are excreted by the human body through the lymphatic system, thereby removing the pigment. The surrounding normal tissue does not absorb the pulsed light of 1064 and 532nm, thus maintaining the integrity of the cell frame, and there is no condition for scar formation; therefore, the maximum degree of safety is guaranteed to be plagued by complications after use. Other methods are unmatched.
An IPL therapy is used to treat sun damage, wrinkles, stretch marks, and age spots. IPL is also known as photorejuvenation or photofacial. Treatments are performed at med spas and doctor’s offices and can be used to erase mild sun damage, brown spots, freckles, or irregular pigmentation on the face, neck, or even chest.
IPL Skin rejuvenation machine treatments produce healthier and younger-looking skin. IPL PhotoFacial is a powerful, intense pulsed light Photofacial to treat pigmented and vascular lesions.
IPL facials, also known as Pulsed Light Therapy, involve a handheld device that emits pulses of broad-spectrum light through direct contact with the skin. It acts on the deeper layers of skin, making it ideal for treating broken capillaries, sun damage, and other impurities.
While relatively simple, a medical professional should always perform the procedure to get the very best results and minimize any potential risks.
IPL photofacial light is soaked up by the hemoglobin and melanin in the skin, intentionally damaging these areas. The damaged melanin breaks up and is absorbed by the skin, decreasing its appearance on the skin’s surface. The damaged hemoglobin stimulates blood flow, causing the melanin to be absorbed more efficiently.
IPL stands for intense pulsed light. It’s a type of light therapy used to treat wrinkles, spots, and unwanted hair. IPL equipment can be used as a Spider vein removal machine, Skin hyperpigmentation machine, Age spot removal machine, Dark spots removal machine.
IPL treatment is also called Pulsed Light Therapy, Photo Facial, PhotoRejuvenation, BroadBand Light, Skin Rejuvenation, Laser treatment.
You can use IPL to minimize or remove:
rosacea
birthmarks
age spots
freckles
sun damage
spider veins
varicose veins
broken blood vessels
hair on face, neck, chest, back, legs, underarms, or bikini
Pros and Cons of IPL photo facials:
Pros
Usually no downtime
Longer lasting improved skin complexion
The treatment can be performed in all areas of the body.
Cons
It takes time and numerous treatments for desired results
The effectiveness is not great for tanned or darker skin tones
Staying out of the sun is a must after the treatment
Avoid chemical peels, waxing, collagen injections, and more!
There are different types of IPL lights out there, such as E-Light, M-Light, ELOS, etc. Most equipment works the same but doesn’t provide the same results.
IPL has been around for a while and is used to treat many skin issues such as hair removal, skin pigmentations, acne, spider veins, and more! These days are also using the Intense pulsed light to treat evaporative dry eye disease as well. IPL works thanks to our melanin in the skin. The melanin helps to absorb the Intense pulse light and helps to ‘kill’ the hair follicles, promote skin healing, and other skin impurities.
When we are talking about laser hair removal, IPL works best for darker hair on lighter skin. IPL works best for darker hair on lighter skin. This treatment won’t be the best option for Fitzpatrick levels five and up. It takes numerous treatments to achieve the desired goals. THE newest IPL technology works as well as laser treatments for skin impurities.

We recommend the providers treat your clients every four weeks. When performing too many treatments, it can cause skin irritation and for laser hair removal - not enough time to catch up with the hair’s lifecycle.
Most people experience mild redness or swelling after the procedure, which typically fades within a day or two.
In some cases, you may experience:
infection
bruising
blistering
change in skin color
The treatment results depend on your client’s skin type, age, how long they have spent time in the sun, age, and genetics. Usually, the IPL photofacial results last from 6 months to a year. If your clients want to keep their products longer, recommend providing the facial every 6 -12 months. To keep the collagen production going, it may take only 2-3 treatments to maintain a younger-looking complexion.
For hair removal, IPL removes numerous hair permanently, but not 100% of them. We would call IPL treatment semi-permanent for hair removal. When treating impurities on the skin such as rosacea, hyperpigmentation, scarring, and more - the results are permanent. When we talk about treating aging skin, the results are not permanent but can be longer-lasting when treated regularly.
For body and facial treatments, it’s recommended 3-6 treatments depending on the skin issue and skin type. For hair removal, it takes about 6-12 treatments to get rid of the hair.
Many people love to tighten their skin with laser treatments. It is a great non-invasive technology to target sagging skin on the face, including the neck, chin, and jawline area. IPL skin tightening works almost like RF, where the intense pulsed light delivers heat underneath the skin, which helps the body recreate more collagen. IPL skin tightening is safe for all skin types and can be used for many areas of the body, including the abdomen, thighs, arms, and buttocks.
The provider will apply the cooling gel before the IPL skin tightening. Your client will feel little to no discomfort during the treatment. The skin can get slightly red but will calm down shortly after the treatment.
Botox can be performed right after IPL treatment but not before the treatment.

The lowest cost for the used IPL photofacial machine can be about $3000; the newest equipment can be up to $60k. In A-Esthetic, we provide a variety of lasers, and our IPL machine costs about $20k. We offer discounts on all of our equipment often so that you can get the IPL system for a lower price. Talk to one of our licensed specialists to find out more.
To perform laser treatments, you must be a registered nurse or a physician’s assistant. Some estheticians can perform laser treatments under the licensed physician’s supervision. We recommend checking with your state board since each state has different requirements on aesthetic procedures.
Depending on your area, the treatments start from $700 to $1,200.
IPL machines give you options to input your client’s features such as hair color, skin type, hair density, and more. When everything is entered according to your client, the system will tell you which intensity to use, the filter to install, and pulsed light settings.
The provider will start by cleaning the area which is being treated. Secondly, rubbing a cool gel onto the skin and thirdly applying the IPL light pulses on the skin. Goggles are provided to protect the patient’s eyes.
Understanding how the IPL works before you begin to engage the machine on a client’s body is essential. The IPL laser has a combination of radiofrequency (RF) and optical energy that removes hair or treats another skin condition. Radiofrequency energy heats the skin and bulges, and optical power heats the deeper levels of the skin.
*Check your patient’s medical history before performing any treatment.*
Quick Basic View of Treatment Protocol:
Apply a thin layer of gel to a designated area for treatment. The IPL laser tip will be placed firmly on the skin and needs to be surrounded by the gel.
● Hold IPL tip perpendicular to the skin and move it against the hair follicle growth for hair removal, and a photofacial one, the treated area
● Recommended using the grid pattern to break down the treatment by sections. You can use a white eyeliner pencil which creates better results when treating larger sizes.
● Place the IPL pulses adjacently with approximately 20% overlap for each pulse to cover the treatment area.
IPL treatment can be performed in many areas of the body, such as the legs, abdomen, face, buttocks, and thighs.
The typical IPL treatment lasts from 20-30 minutes per session.
As mentioned before, IPL and RF technology have somewhat ‘similar’ ways to treat the skin against impurities, but one IPL with light and RF is based on electricity. Both treatments work with the deeper layers of the skin.
IPL and Microdermabrasion work with different skin layers. While microcurrent is treating the top layer of the skin, IPL digs deeper into the skin. Microdermabrasion doesn’t harm deeper layers of the skin.
Just as comparing Microdermabrasion with IPL, hydrodermabrasion works with the top layer of the skin as well. Hydro dermabrasion is a non-invasive way to obtain a healthy and hydrating glow, while IPL treats more developed skin concerns through deeper layers of the skin.
Microcurrent works low-voltage current to re-educate the muscles. IPL uses wavelengths of light to treat the skin. Both technologies are a great way to provide anti-aging treatments; the treatment numbers vary between the both.
Both treatment methods use light to treat specific skin concerns. LED therapy uses lower light energy, while during the IPL treatment, the light is absorbed more deeply. IPL treatment is meant for larger areas of the skin than LED light therapy.
Cleaning the Main Host
The main machine case or body must be clean with a soft cloth.
Cleaning the Sapphire Crystal
The Sapphire crystal must be kept clean at all times. Always use a soft cloth or wet cotton balls. Sanitize the treatment head with alcohol wipes.
Replacing the E-light Treatment Handpiece
Each E-light treatment handpiece has a limited service life. After consuming 60,000 - 100,000 shots, the provider must replace the filter.
Water Level
Control the amount of water, add it if systems show a low level.
After receiving laser treatment, it is essential to take care of the treated area.
Here are recommended procedures:
The Erythema (redness) and PFE are expected and typically resolve with a few hours to a few days after Laser treatment. Patients should apply a wrapped ice pack 15 minutes every 1-2 hours and 1% hydrocortisone cream 2-3 times per day for 3 to 4 days or until resolved. Patients are advised to contact their provider if erythema persists for more than five days as PIH can occur with prolonged erythema.
● Singed Hairs on the skin may be evident immediately after treatment, so apply a moist washcloth to wipe these hairs off.
● Direct sun exposure is avoided and so apply sunscreen of SPF 30 daily for four weeks after treatment to help minimize the risk of pigmentary changes.
● The provider should provide written aftercare information for patients.
